Houston is a city where the locals love their sport. It is never too hard to take in a game of whatever you fancy. - In basketball Houston have the Houston Rockets, two-time NBA champions. - In women's basketball they have the Houston Comets, four-time WNBA champions. - In hockey they have the Houston Aeros. - In baseball they have the Houston Astros - Houston's NFL team, the Houston Texans, held their first game in August 2002 The city also proudly hosted Super Bowl XXXVIII in February 2004. Houston has recently been selected to host Major League Baseball's 2004 All Star Game, at Minute Maid Park, as well as playing host to the 2011 NCAA Final Four, at Reliant Stadium. From March to September, the City of Houston has 550 softball teams that hit the diamonds. From September to November, 30 football teams compete in flag football. From November to February, basketball season pulls 175 teams. The weather in Houston allows for sport throughout the entire year.
