Nightlife in Houston

Clubs along Houston's busy Richmond Avenue are always moving and shaking into
the small hours. Polly Esther's for 70s and 80s music is recommended as is City
Streets, which offers six venues under one roof. Dave & Busters, with its revolving
"D&B" sign, includes a restaurant, billiards, casino games, shuffleboard and golf
simulators and is again worth a visit.

The City's Theater District, which is a downtown entertainment area, features a
variety of nightlife options. The Verizon Wireless Theater hosts big-name performers
in several intimate concert settings. Angelika Film Center shows mainstream and
independent films in its upscale theaters. The film center's Angelika Café serves
gourmet food and coffees late into the evening. Upstairs, Slick Willie's offers billiards
with fabulous views of the Theater District, while BAR Houston and Have a Nice
Day Café offer mingling and dancing. Other restaurants include Sake Lounge,
Mingalone Italian Bar and Grill and Hard Rock Café.

The brilliantly named Dive Lounge in the vibrant Downtown Aquarium is an upscale
bar offering theatergoers and downtown visitors an option for before- and after-dinner
drinks. Check out The Mercury Room on Prairie which is one of downtown's hottest
nightclubs or its next-door neighbor and sibling Boaka Bar highlights the nightlife
scene.
